The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction’s recent selection of an out-of-state company to be the single vendor of a School Information System (SIS) raises several important issues about economic development and educational opportunities in central and northern Wisconsin.
Fifty percent of Wisconsin’s school districts already use the same SIS — the SIS developed by the Stevens Point-based company Skyward Inc.
