Jeff Martin says musky fishing in central Wisconsin is more a passion than a hobby for him and his friends.

The friends founded the Wisconsin League of Musky Anglers, or WILMA, about five years ago to promote camaraderie and enhance the musky fishing experience in the Wisconsin River and its flowages.

Starting with a group of around a dozen, the group now has more than 60 members. They hold a fishing league from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, this year from May 28 to Aug. 27, north from Lake Wausau to the Petenwell Flowage just south of Wisconsin Rapids.
