Since 1971, UW-Stevens Point has been home to America's first summer Suzuki program and the oldest institute outside of Japan. Based on methods of Shinichi Suzuki, ASI reinforces teaching music in a way similar to how children learn language, with parental involvement and repetition in a nurturing environment.
