Gifts to an endowment are truly the gift that keeps on giving, as the funds are invested and only the interest generated yearly is used. Our facility provides the perfect mix of land and water to engage all ages through a variety of other outdoor experiences. Your contribution to our endowment is a permanent source of funding that builds a lasting legacy of outdoor exploration.

Future “Wish List” Projects Include:

  • 50% funding to install a solar array on Fern Young cottage and backup Tesla batteries – $15,000
  • Back up generators for support power and power outages – $180,000

How to Give

Gifts to support Treehaven may be made to the UWSP Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. Naming opportunities are available for all or portions of Treehaven structures and facilities.

Visit UWSP’s Give Now page to make a donation to the Treehaven Endowment.

Make a gift by following these steps:

  1. Visit the Give Now page.
  2. Search “Treehaven” in the “Search Available Funds” bar.
  3. Your search will return no results. THIS IS NORMAL! Click the “Couldn’t find the fund you’re looking for?” box and enter “Treehaven” in the “Enter Fund Name” box. (pictured below)
  4. Enter your donation amount in the “Enter Amount” box.
  5. Click “Proceed” to be taken to the online payment screen.

Completed Projects

Completed projects supported by Treehaven Endowment interest since 2016 include:

  • Lodging support for the UW-Stevens Point College of Natural Resources student grouse research project at Treehaven.
  • Partial purchase of 29 new sets of snowshoes
  • Partial purchase of 40 new sets of cross country skis/boots
  • Partial support of the new 20 kW 64-panel solar array on Birch lodge – which produces enough electricity to power both Birch and Ed Okray Aspen lodge the entire year
  • Purchase and installation of 3 new water bottle fillers in Vallier Classroom Center, I.L. Young, and Aspen lodge
  • Purchase of used G.H. Grimm and Company maple sap evaporator to begin making maple syrup on site
  • Purchase of new conference tables for Sylvester Auditorium
  • Partial purchase of new conference tables and chairs for Room 200
