We ask that guests of Treehaven follow these regulations to help preserve the property and its natural resources. By following these regulations, you are helping us to:
- Protect native habitats and wildlife.
- Allow education/research projects to continue undisturbed.
- Ensure the safety of all visitors.
- Maintain a high-quality experience for program participants.
Because of educational programs or land management operations, all or parts of the Treehaven property may be periodically closed to public use. Check with the Treehaven office for availability. Exceptions to these regulations may be permitted for Treehaven research projects or educational programs.
Trail passes are required for all activities on the trails, including hiking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. Passes for guests of Treehaven are included in the site use fee.
If you are coming to Treehaven for trail use only, passes are available at each of the three trailheads. Daily passes are $5 and annual passes are $25. Fees are used for trail maintenance and equipment.
All or Parts of the Property may be Temporarily Closed
Please check online before your visit, or at a trailhead upon arrival.
Carry Out All Litter
If you find litter, please pack it out and dispose of it properly.
No Motor Vehicles
Vehicles disturb wildlife, trail users and educational programs.
No Collecting
Leave these natural resources for others to enjoy and study.
No Alcohol
Except in designated areas near the facilities.
No Drones
Unmanned Aircraft Systems are restricted over university property.
Trails Closed from Sunset to Sunrise
This ensures visitor safety while providing wildlife a rest.
No Pets
Pets create disruptions and safety issues for wildlife and other visitors.
No Hunting or Trapping
Unless as an approved UW-Stevens Point program.
No Fires
Except in designated areas near the facilities.
No Smoking/ Tobacco Products
UW-Stevens Point is a tobacco-free campus.
No Camping
Unless as an approved Treehaven program.
