Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

By Tennessee Williams

October 12-14, 17-20, 2018
STUDIO THEATRE

Directed by Jared Hanlin

Winner of the 1955 Pulitzer Prize for Drama!

While the Pollitt family celebrates the 65th birthday of its crude and bombastic patriarch Big Daddy, a storm is brewing in the bedroom of its golden boy Brick and his wife Maggie. Big Daddy is secretly dying of cancer, and Maggie is determined to keep Brick’s older brother and his wife from cutting them out of the inheritance – 28,000 acres of the richest land this side of the Valley Nile! But a deep, dark wound is keeping the liquor-soaked Brick and the hopelessly devoted Maggie from playing on the same team… Williams’ beloved drama has thrilled audiences for decades with its sensuality, humor, and raw examination of mendacity, desire and death.  After all, what is the victory of a cat on a hot tin roof?
