Jared joined the faculty at UW-Stevens Point in 2012 as the Voice and Movement Specialist. As an actor he has performed regionally at TheatreSquared and the Arkansas Repertory Theatre. In recent years, he has performed several roles in the annual Arkansas New Play Festival, premiering works in progress from John Walch, Robert Ford, and Samuel Brett Williams. Some of his favorite roles include Walter in Up, the Emcee in Cabaret, Charles Dickens in A Christmas Carol, Laertes in Hamlet, Bernard in Arcadia, Chiron in Titus Andronicus, Rev. Hale in The Crucible, and Louis in Angels in America, Part I. Jared continues to develop and perform his one-person show he premiered in 2010 entitled Psalm 100:1.
Jared's teaching/training interests include Linklater and Rodenburg Voice, Michael Chekhov Technique, the Viewpoints, I.P.A./dialect work and stage combat. He is a member of the Society of American Fight Directors. He received his M.F.A. in Acting from the University of Arkansas.
