About

Professor Sarah Rudolph has been a faculty member and director of the theatre program at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at Wausau since 1991. She is excited to now be connected with UWSP's outstanding Department of Theatre and Dance. Rudolph's productions give emphasis to cocurricular efforts and community outreach, creating forums that address concerns including Advanced Directives in Health Care, Suicide Prevention and Awareness, and PTSD in the military. Her outreach has been recognized through awards, including The Byron Barrington and John Runkel Award for Community Service (2005, 2018), The North Central Health Care Good Neighbor Award (2006), and the Heart of Wisconsin Pride: Heartbeat Award (2016). Her most recent research and professional development focuses on the representation of mental illness on stage through both conference presentations and publication. This focus extends to creative work and devised (original theatre) material. Rudolph holds a BA in Theatre and Drama from the University of Wyoming, an MA in Theatre from Indiana University, and PhD in Theatre from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
