There are a number of $200.00 student need-based scholarships available from funds donated to the ASI Scholarship Fund last year.

Howard Rye Scholarship
Dr. Howard Rye was a beloved and prominent string teacher. During his long career at Illinois State University he mentored countless string players, stressing ethics and integrity along with a very high level of musical proficiency. This scholarship in his name is intended to help offset the costs of Wisconsin Suzuki violin, viola or cello students, living in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Waukesha or Sheboygan counties who attend the American Suzuki Institute. An award of $100, to be applied toward his or her American Suzuki Institute tuition, shall be given to each successful applicant.
- Currently study Suzuki violin, viola or cello with a teacher who was himself/herself a student of Howard Rye; and
- Live in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Waukesha or Sheboygan Wisconsin counties; and
- Apply to attend the American Suzuki Institute
