Do you have questions about weight control, food allergies, gluten-free diet, vegetarianism, eating disorders, sports nutrition, or other nutrition-related concerns? Visits with the dietitian are covered by the Health fee at no additional cost to the student.
Ashley's special interests include weight management, disordered eating, sports nutrition and cancer prevention. She received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and did her Dietetic Internship at the University of Maryland. She is also certified in Adult Weight Management and Oncology Nutrition.
Her personal interests include running, cooking, making something significant out of something seemingly insignificant, and reading children's stories to her boys. Ashley states "Learning about your personal nutrition needs is crucial in the University environment. I'm thrilled to offer my services here and impact the way students eat beyond their college years!"
Dietetic services include nutrition assessment, dietary analysis, and nutrition counseling.
During your visit, you may meet with a Dietetics student. Students from the UWSP Accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics provide nutrition assessment and counseling through the supervision of a registered dietitian. This unique partnership offers clinical experience for students and provides current evidence-based nutrition therapy for clients.
