Registration forms should be mailed to your municipal clerk. You can start your voter registration form online at http:\/\/myvote.wi.gov. Your form must be printed, signed, and mailed or delivered, to your municipal clerk. You must always provide a Proof of Residence document when registering. If you are registering by mail, you can use any of the forms of Proof of residence except a residential lease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Online<\/strong>: Up to 20 days before the election. Voters who have a valid State of Wisconsin Driver License or State of Wisconsin ID card issued by the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) can register to vote online on the MyVote Wisconsin website: http:\/\/myvote.wi.gov. To register online, the voter must enter a name, date of birth, Driver License, or ID number, and an address that matches what is on file with the Wisconsin DMV. If all of the fields match, the voter will be able to register to vote completely online without needing to print, sign, or mail the form and without needing to send a proof of residence document. Voters who are not able to match their information with the information in the DMV database will be given the option to register by mail (see instructions above).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In the municipal clerk&#8217;s office:<\/strong>&nbsp;You may register in-person in your municipal clerk&#8217;s office (1515 Strongs Ave. Stevens Point) up until the Friday before the election at 5:00 p.m. or close of business, whichever is later. You must always provide a Proof of Residence document when registering to vote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>At the polling place on Election Day<\/strong>:&nbsp;You may register at the polls on Election Day. You must always provide a Proof of Residence document when registering to vote.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">Enrollment Verification Letter<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>UWSP has a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mypoint.uwsp.edu\/regrec\/regrec071\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Voter ID Enrollment Verification Letter<\/a>&nbsp;available that you may print out to provide proof of enrollment and\/or to verify your current, local address.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">Acceptable Forms of Identification<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>These are acceptable for voting purposes, and can be unexpired or expired after the date of the most recent general election:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A Wisconsin DOT-issued driver license, even if driving privileges are revoked or suspended, and with or without a star in the right-hand corner<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Wisconsin DOT-issued identification card, with or without a star in the right-hand corner<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Wisconsin DOT-issued identification card or driver license without a photo issued under the religious exemption<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Military ID card issued by a U.S. uniformed service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A U.S. passport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An identification card issued by a federally recognized Indian tribe in Wisconsin (may be used even if expired before the most recent general election)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A photo identification card issued by a Wisconsin accredited university or college that contains date of issuance, signature of student, and an expiration date no later than two years after date of issuance (may be used even if expired before the most recent general election)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the university or college ID is expired, the student ID must be accompanied by a separate document that proves enrollment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These photo IDs are also acceptable for voting purposes, but must be unexpired:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A veteran&#8217;s photo identification card issued by the Veterans Health Administration of the federal Department of Veterans Affairs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A certificate of naturalization that was issued not earlier than two years before the date of an election at which it is presented<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A driving receipt issued by Wisconsin DOT (valid for 45 days)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A temporary identification card receipt issued by Wisconsin DOT through the Identification Petition Process (IDPP) (valid for 60 days)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">Proof of Residence (local address)<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>Proof of residence is always required to register to vote and documents must include the voter\u2019s current address. The following items are acceptable to prove Wisconsin residency for voter registration purposes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A current and valid Wisconsin driver license or identification card or any other official identification card or license issued by a Wisconsin governmental body or unit. NOTE: Your driver\u2019s license must have your current, local address in order to qualify. If your driver\u2019s license lists an address other than your current, local address, this item will not work as proof of residence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The UWSP Voter ID Enrollment Letter, as long as it lists your current, local (mailing) address. (If necessary, before printing the document, be sure to update your mailing address on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/accesspoint.uwsp.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">accesSPoint<\/a>&nbsp;to reflect your local address).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Employer issued ID card with cardholder photo and your current address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A real estate tax bill or receipt for the current year which shows your current address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A recent (within 90 days of voter registration) gas, electric, or telephone service statement (utility bill) with current address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bank, credit union or credit card statement with current address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paycheck with current address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Residential lease.
