M. David Chunyu

BIO

Miao David Chunyu joined the Department of Sociology at UW-Stevens Point in 2012. His research interests include social demography, urban sociology, race and ethnicity. Chunyu been a mentor for students presenting in the College of Letters and Science Undergraduate Research Symposium since 2014. Dr. Chunyu earned the University Excellence in Teaching Award for 2023 and was previously nominated five other years. He leads courses in Social Statistics, Research Methods, Sociology of Immigration, and Introduction to Sociology. He recently developed and is teaching the course, SOC 356: Urban Sociology.
