Health Science: Health Care Administration Option

Health care administrators manage the business of the health care delivery and work in many settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and group medical practices.

This option includes coursework in accounting, business, and human resource management. Upon graduation, you will be prepared for entry level positions; however, obtaining a graduate degree may expand your career options in this area.

The capstone, HS 490 - Interdisciplinary Perspectives in Health Care, is a requirement of the major to be completed during the student's junior or senior year. HS 498 - Experiential Learning is a substitution for HS 490 in your academic program plan of study, and for our HCA concentration majors, this opportunity is recommended over completion of HS 490 as your senior capstone experience.
