It has a reputation for excellence in serving the university and the Central Wisconsin area by providing clinical services as part of the professional preparation of students. If the person is a candidate for amplification, assistance and advice is provided regarding purchasing options for hearing aids or other assistive listening devices. Weekly follow-up visits are scheduled for new hearing aid users, in order to help individuals derive maximum benefit from their hearing aids. Audiologists provide individuals with a thorough orientation in the use, care, and maintenance of the specific amplification system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Audiological services include the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hearing screenings and comprehensive evaluations including: Pure Tone Thresholds and Speech Audiometry, Admittance Testing (tymps and acoustic reflexes), Central Auditory Processing, Electrophysiologic Testing (ABR and OAE), and Vestibular Testing (ENG)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hearing screening and follow-up evaluations for infants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aural rehabilitation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hearing aid evaluation, fitting, maintenance, and repair<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwsp-vtab-thetab\"><div class=\"vtab-tabtitle\">Speech\/Language Services<i class=\"fa-solid fa-caret-right\"><\/i><\/div><div class=\"vtab-tabcontent\">\n<div class=\"vtab-content-column bgpurple\"><h2>Speech\/Language Services<\/h2><div>\n<p>A full range of speech\/language diagnostic and therapy services is available. Self-referrals and outside referrals are accepted.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">When is the clinic open?<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>The <strong>Speech Clinic<\/strong> is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. during the three academic semesters of the year and is closed for holiday and vacation breaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Audiology Clinic<\/strong> schedules appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. during the three academic semesters of the year and is closed for holiday and vacation breaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hearing aid repair service varies by semester, please call 715-346-3667 for additional information.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">Is parking available?<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>Reserved client parking is available directly in front of the College of Professional Studies in the U-shaped parking lot. Depending upon the services, there may be a waiting list. Please contact the clinical administrative assistant at 715-346-3667 for more specific information. If no immediate openings are available, every effort will be made to provide an appointment during the subsequent semester. Speech\/language therapy sessions are typically scheduled two times per week, with the semester therapy schedule being set at the beginning of each semester. Audiology appointments are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Costs for hearing aids cannot be given until a full hearing evaluation has been conducted and we have determined the type of hearing aid that meets the needs of the patient.
