Master of Science in Education (MSE)

Comprehensive Portfolio

The Comprehensive Portfolio is the culminating project for most Master of Science in Education (MSE) students at UWSP. It provides an opportunity to showcase your learning, professional growth and achievement of the program outcomes throughout your graduate studies. The portfolio is completed during your final semester and serves as evidence that you have successfully met the expectations of the program.

Start early. The strongest portfolios are built over time by saving assignments, projects and other artifacts from your courses.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use assignments not listed in the Artifact Alignment Guide?

Yes. Any assignment may be used if it clearly aligns with one or more program outcomes, and you explain that alignment in your reflection.

Can one artifact fulfill multiple outcomes?

No. Each artifact may only be used once within the portfolio.

What makes a strong artifact reflection?

Strong reflections explain what you learned, how the artifact demonstrates the program’s outcome(s), and how the learning applies to your professional practice.

What if I need revisions?

Students who need revisions will receive feedback and instructions for resubmission. You may still participate in graduation while completing required revisions.
