Media studies students explore a range of communication behaviors in and across mediated channels. Students are encouraged to take courses in print and multimedia journalism, radio, television and film. Skills gained are transferrable to a variety of fields, and media professionals create content on multiple platforms.
WHY STUDY MEDIA STUDIES AT UW-STEVENS POINT?
Courses are offered in all levels of video, media and multimedia production, media athestics, media history and law. Hands-on immersion provides the greatest chance for students to put their classroom skills to use and experiment with new ideas. Career options include:

MEDIA STUDIES MINOR
This minor is administered by the area of Media Studies in the School of Design and Communication.
If you are interested in declaring a media studies minor, you must meet with a media studies adviser. Contact the School of Design and Communication office to make an appointment.
Consists of a minimum of 18 credits.
