Internships

The Political Science Department offers several opportunities for internships. Qualified seniors can have the opportunity to serve in an internship with a local government agency. Interns have served in a variety of places, from district attorneys’ offices, police departments, and mayors’ offices, to government offices at the state and federal level. The department also participates in several Washington, D.C. internship programs. For more information about local, state, and national internships, please see Prof. Ed Miller.

Here is an online internship opportunity with the Department of State: Virtual Student Foreign Service.

Here is a list of think tank internships (mostly in Washington, D.C.).  If you are interested in summer internship opportunities, you are strongly encouraged to review these websites starting in January or earlier.
