Prof. Warren appointed to lead UWSP’s new Critical Thinking Center

Dona Warren has been named as the first director of UW-Stevens Point's Critical Thinking Center. The Center will work with faculty and staff across the institution, learning from their expertise and supporting critical thinking pedagogy throughout the curriculum. It will also collaborate with local businesses, community organizations, K-12 schools, and the technical colleges to explore the role of critical thinking in a wide array of professional, civic, and educational contexts.

Prof. Warren earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Minnesota and joined the Philosophy faculty at UWSP in 1995. The establishment of the Critical Thinking Center is the culmination of years of effort in which she and many other faculty and staff have sought to promote systematic and cross disciplinary approaches to critical thinking on our campus and neighboring communities. Congratulations to Prof. Warren on this important achievement!
