Student lots tend to fill quickly and may make finding a space difficult for commuting students. Student permits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, until the permit sales maximum is reached. See the Permits tab under the student’s section for permit information.   \u200b\u200b

SHARING, GIFTING OR SELLING PERMITS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED!<\/em><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

\u200b<\/strong>Y<\/strong>our license plate is your permit<\/strong>.  Prior to purchasing your permit, go to the Parking Portal and enter or verify your license plate.  Make sure your vehicle information, especially the license plate, is accurate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You may register one vehicle and must notify the parking office if you switch vehicles for any reason<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional vehicles may be added if they belong to family members.  Students may not add any other vehicles to their accounts and may not have more than one vehicle on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Send an email notification to Parking.Services.Office@uwsp.edu<\/strong><\/a> with the alternate vehicle license plate prior to parking on campu\u200bs.  Include your student ID# in the email message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

**Vehicles with only one license plate are prohibited from backing in or pulling through parking spaces.**<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

**Vehicle and owner information is not shared with any other agencies, per the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.  Vehicle information is only used to confirm rights and compliance with parking regulations.**<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commuting students without a permit may prefer to pay for meter parking on campus as it is more convenient to classroom building locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students are also able to purchase L-permits<\/strong>, which allow for parking in certain lots only after 2 p.m. This may provide flexibility to students with evening classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meters are conveniently located near the academic buildings. They cost $1.00\/hour and can be paid via coin or the Passport App (Credit\/Debit card). \u200bSpots can be paid up to 4 or 12 hours, depending on the lot. Most meters are monitored until 7 p.m., Lot R is monitored until 5 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The city bus offers a Campus Connection route that frequently stops on campus and many surrounding areas. This is a popular, free option of transportation around the city. Learn more about city bus offerings<\/strong><\/a>.
