Planning Your Transfer Registration Visit

The Registration Program will include a credit degree assessment, course advising, registration and a Resource Fair.

  • Parking for Registration is located in Lot R, meters only (please see campus map). Students DO NOT need to pay meters on their orientation date. Lot R is located adjacent to the Dreyfus University Center (see Driving Directions).
     
  • Check-in is between 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. in the Dreyfus University Center (building #40 on the campus map). Please review the instructions you receive in the mail for specific information pertaining to the day. During check-in, you will pick up your registration materials for the day and have your campus ID photo taken.
     
  • The program begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. and provides an overview of general education requirements, degree options, registration procedures and course availability information. The program concludes after you register for courses and pick up your PointCard (University ID card). Please plan on attending the full orientation program. Lunch availability varies by program date; please check the schedule for details.

After Orientation, remember to...

  • Activate your UWSP Account - New students receive a Network Account after they are registered for classes. Your network account allows you access to the public computer labs, email, library resources, registration information, financial information, Desire to Learn, and many other UWSP Network Resources. You can begin using your account the day after you have registered for classes.
     
  • If you decide NOT to attend UWSP after you register for courses, you must notify the notify the Office of the Registrar of your cancellation, in writing (see Cancellation Form and Refund Policies).

NOTE:

  • If you wish to park in University lots during the academic year, you must apply for a parking permit. You may apply online for a parking permit after you activate your UWSP account.
     
  • In order to receive your campus ID (Point Card), you must bring a government-issued photo ID to orientation (driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID).
     
  • When you attend registration, if you are currently enrolled at another college please remember to send an official copy of your transcript to the UWSP Admissions Office as soon as your final grades are posted. You will still be allowed to register for classes on your registration date, however, your admission status will remain tentative until we receive a final transcript.
     
  • Program costs for the Registration program are covered in part by a $175.00 matriculation fee that will appear on your semester tuition bill. The matriculation fee is a one-time fee that covers registration programming costs, Convocation, programming and commencement fees.
