Meet Don and Judi Olson, the alum couple who stepped forward to dedicate their philanthropy to a growing museum space in 2024. Now named for them, the Olson Museum of Natural History welcomes groups to explore the museum’s teaching and research collections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their generosity will help fund the renovation work for the Museum to take a major step forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building a Home for Natural History<\/h3>

Graduates of UW-Stevens Point, Don and Judi Olson, will have a lasting legacy gift in their name on the UWSP campus. Their $450,000 gift was announced in February 2024.\n\n\u201cThe museum is a valuable community asset and learning tool for children of all ages.\u00a0With displays and exhibits focused on the natural history of Wisconsin and beyond, hands-on activities, and special programs, it brings education, entertainment and smiles to all who visit. Importantly, the museum serves as a unique way to introduce and welcome UWSP to potential future Pointers and their families.\u201d<\/div>
