Office 2016, Office 365, and OneDrive for Business are now available for UWSP Students, Faculty, and Staff
UWSP Information Technology is pleased to announce the immediate availability of three new productivity suites from Microsoft.
- Office 2016 is the latest release of Microsoft's full-featured desktop office suite. While Office 2016 has a new look and several new features, Office 2010 users will probably adapt quickly to these changes and continue to work seamlessly with their current Office documents.
- Office 365 is Microsoft's cloud suite of office products for users who do most of their work on multiple computers or mobile devices. It is available on any computer through a web browser by going to https://office.uwsp.edu/ and signing into the UWSP Office portal. Office 365 is also available on smartphones and tablets by downloading the Office apps from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
- OneDrive for Business is Microsoft's cloud storage solution, which is accessible from web browsers, mobile devices, and Windows and Mac computers. Initially, OneDrive for Business will be available to campus only through a web browser or through the "save as" interface in Office 2016 applications. The OneDrive for Business sync agent will be released to campus computers in the future.
Together, these products provide a startling array of features that address the needs of everyone from traditional desktop users to users that prefer mobile options. As new features are released to campus, and as we find information that helps new users adapt to these products, we will update these pages.
