While deadlines are set according to standard academic calendar practices, unique calendar configurations in certain years may require adjustments. The Office of the Registrar reserves the right to modify grade submission deadlines as necessary to meet the operational and business needs of the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Grade Submission Deadline is 3 p.m.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Fall Semester:<\/strong>&nbsp;on the 4th business day following last day of finals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Spring Semester:<\/strong>&nbsp;on the 4th business day following last day of finals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Winterim:<\/strong>&nbsp;on the 3rd business day following last day of the winter term<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Summer:<\/strong>&nbsp;on the 4th business day following last day of the summer term; however, instructors are encouraged to submit grades at the end of their class session.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"important-date blockspacetop blockspacebottom\" id=\"\"><div class=\"site-width\"><h2>Deadlines for Submitting Final Grades<\/h2><div class=\"date-grid col-small-one col-medium-two col-large-two col-xlarge-four col-xxlarge-four\">\n<div class=\"id-caldate\"><div class=\"date-block\"><div><div class=\"lil-calendar\">8\/20<\/div><\/div><div class=\"id-title\">Summer 2026 grades due by 3:00 PM<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwsp-accordion blockspacetop blockspacebottom\"><div class=\"accordion\" id=\"\"><div class=\"panelcontainer openfirst\">\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">Online Grading Process<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>Faculty can access Grade Rosters through the Faculty Center tile \u2014 the same area used for entering attendance. When opening your roster, be sure to select \u201cFinal Grade\u201d from the Grade Roster Type drop\u2011down menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Approval Status Options<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The grading process includes three possible <strong>Approval Status<\/strong> options in the grading process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Not Reviewed<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Use this status if you want to save your progress while entering grades. It allows you to save a partially completed grade roster. <em>(Optional)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Approved<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A grade must be entered for every student before selecting this status. Choosing Approved notifies the Registrar\u2019s Office that your grades are ready to be posted. Once the Registrar\u2019s Office processes your roster (processed hourly), students will be able to view their grades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This is the only status required for Final Grade Submission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Attendance Completed<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This status is used only for attendance rosters. <strong>Do not select this option for Final Grade Submission.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">Grading System <\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Grading System<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Grade<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Grade Points<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>A<\/td><td>4.00<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>A-<\/td><td>3.67<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>B+<\/td><td>3.33<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>B<\/td><td>3.00<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>B-<\/td><td>2.67<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>C+<\/td><td>2.33<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>C<\/td><td>2.00<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>C-<\/td><td>1.67<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>D+<\/td><td>1.33<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>D<\/td><td>1.00<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>F<\/td><td>0.00<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Grade Points<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Grade<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Definition<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>AU<\/td><td>Audit<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>GP<\/td><td>Graduate Thesis or Thesis-Like Courses In Progress\u200b<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>I<\/td><td>Incomplete<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>P<\/td><td>Pass<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>S<\/td><td>\u200bSatisfactory&nbsp;<em>(Used with Noncredit Course Only)<\/em><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>W<\/td><td>Withdrawn<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>NR<\/td><td>\u200b&nbsp;Not Reported&nbsp;<em>(Office Use Only)<\/em><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Grade Definitions<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">Recording Grades<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enter the grade after the name of the student.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A+, D-, and F+ are not valid grades.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For students who have elected the P-F grading option, the grade program convert the regular grade to P or F.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a student is auditing a course, a grade of AU will show in the grade column.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a student&nbsp;officially dropped the class or&nbsp;withdrew from school, a W will show in the grade column.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><strong>Incomplete grade policy:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An \u201cincomplete\u201d should be reserved for the completion of a definable amount of work (for example, one term paper or one exam) which occurs near the end of the semester.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are to inform both the student and the department chair&nbsp;in writing&nbsp;of the work that is remaining and the date by which it must be completed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The student has until the end of the next semester (excluding summer session) to complete the work unless you set an earlier deadline.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The instructor and department chair may approve&nbsp;one&nbsp;extension of&nbsp;time needed to make up the incomplete. The dean of the college in which the course is offered must approve any further extension of time.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">Reporting F Grades for Non-Attending Students<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>&nbsp;&#8220;F&#8221; grades appear in the grade drop-down (F0, F1, F2, etc) to represent a student&#8217;s last date of attendance. These should be used in place of entering an actual date of&nbsp;last attendance like you did in the old system. If a student stopped attending your class during the third week, you should select the F3 grade from the drop-down. If a&nbsp;student NEVER attended your class, there is an F0 grade to select. These numbered &#8220;F&#8221; grades will appear as regular F&#8217;s on a student&#8217;s transcript.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>Why does UWSP need&nbsp;to know if a student stopped attending school?<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Federal regulations require students to repay a prorated portion of their financial aid if they officially or unofficially withdraw from school prior to reaching the 60% (approximately the 10th week) point of the semester. If students do not repay their aid, the institutions are liable.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">Grade Corrections\/Changes<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>Instructors can make grade changes themselves until grades have been posted. Once posted, submit the Grade Change\/Remove Incomplete eForm located in the Forms tile in accesSPoint. After the grade deadline, grade changes will need approval from the department chair and dean. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: This does not apply when removing an incomplete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We now have an e-form for grade changes. It can be found on the Forms tile in accesSPoint. Once you fill it out, the form will automatically be routed to the appropriate authorizing officials. You will receive an email confirmation after the e-form has been processed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">Late Reporting of Grades<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>During a regular semester, if only five instructors are late in reporting&nbsp;their grades&nbsp;nearly 600 students could be affected (5 instructors teaching 4 courses of 30 students each).&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Please make every effort to get your grades in by the deadline.<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Late&nbsp;grades&nbsp;result&nbsp;in:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Unnecessary student anxiety about what grade is to be received.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A delay in issuance of transcripts of grades to prospective employers, graduate schools, or transfer institutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A delay in certification to DPI for application for a teacher license.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Suspending students who shouldn&#8217;t be suspended or not&nbsp;suspending students who should be.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">Test Score Facilities<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>The test scoring facilities are located in the Center for Inclusive Teaching and Learning (CITL), 403 Albertson Hall, and are available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The facilities are not open over the weekend.
