Be prepared to go outside and dress for the weather. Meet at the Visitor Center, 2419 North Point Drive, Stevens Point, unless otherwise noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following programs will be offered in March:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u201cRocky Relationships with Wildlife,\u201d Friday, March 7, 6-7 p.m. <\/strong>Raccoons in the garbage and foxes in the hen house? Explore the complex connections we have with wildlife. Meet at the Menzel Pavilion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201cNature Know-How,\u201d Saturday, March 8, 11 a.m.-noon. <\/strong>Investigate the survival strategies of some of the creatures found in Schmeeckle Reserve.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201cIf You Care, Should You Leave It There?,\u201d Saturday, March 8, 1-2 p.m. <\/strong>Have you seen an injured animal and wondered what you should do next? Join for a thought-provoking discussion about the delicate balance between human intervention and the natural world.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201cWhiskers in the Dark,\u201d Saturday, March 8, 7-8 p.m. <\/strong>Test your senses, encounter critters, and try out the nocturnal lifestyle by exploring some of Schmeeckle\u2019s research hot spots. Meet at the Menzel Pavilion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201cIt\u2019s a Possum Party!,\u201d<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Friday, March 14, 10 &#8211; 11 a.m.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>What\u2019s the difference between a possum and an opossum? Experience the storybook \u201cPossum in the House\u201d by Kiersten Jenson and uncover the traits of these marvelous marsupials. You can even craft a friend of your own!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201cLeather: History of the Craft,\u201d Friday, March 14, 6-7 p.m. <\/strong>Learn about the history and process of leather crafting while you make your own leather key tag.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201cNature Journaling,\u201d Saturday, March 15, 1-2 p.m.<\/strong> Destress while crafting your own nature journal. Meet at the Menzel Pavilion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201cSuper Squirrels,\u201d Friday, March 28, 10 &#8211; 11 a.m. <\/strong>Have you ever wondered what squirrels that live in Schmeeckle are up to? Squirrels gather nuts and that helps humans and nature too. We\u2019ll begin by reading Squirrel\u2019s Family Tree by Beth Ferry before heading outside for a short walk. Bring a coat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201cBuild-A-Bird,\u201d Friday, March 28, 6-7 p.m. <\/strong>From beaks to tail feathers, discover the fantastic traits of native birds of prey.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201cLingering Monsters of Wetland Past,\u201d Saturday, March 29, 11 a.m.-noon. <\/strong>Hike through Schmeeckle to reveal the history of myths from ancient monsters to drainage ditches.Meet at the Menzel Pavilion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201cFishy Senses,\u201d Saturday, March 29, 5-6 p.m. <\/strong>Bring the family for an evening of engaging activities to explore how local fish can adapt to ecosystems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>No registration is required.
