UW-Stevens Point is seeking public input into its Climate Action and Resilience Plan to learn how the campus and community can adapt to the impacts of climate change.

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point’s Office of Sustainability is offering the public the opportunity to share input on a plan that will help the campus and community adapt to the impacts of climate change.

UW-Stevens Point’s Climate Action and Resilience Plan (CARP) will be discussed at 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 17, at the Pinery Room at the Portage County Public Library, 1001 Main St., Stevens Point. The plan outlines strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and find ways to adapt to the economic, environmental and social challenges caused by climate change. Feedback is sought to learn more about the current strengths and vulnerabilities in our communities.

During this session, a representative from the Office of Sustainability will share:

  • A brief history of the CARP project
  • The current status of the plan
  • How you can review the draft and provide feedback
  • A brief question and answer session
