WHAT CHOIRS DO WE HAVE
TO OFFER AT UW-STEVENS POINT?
PLEASE NOTE: All choirs are open to ALL University
students, regardless of major.
Concert Choir is the most select of the ensembles at UWSP,
averaging 34-38 singers. They rehearse five days a week for 50 minutes per day,
from 11-11:50 a.m. Members of the choir are expected to work on the music
outside of rehearsals and to spend extra time memorizing the music. Once per
year, Concert Choir joins Choral Union and the Symphony Orchestra for a large
choral-orchestral work. Additionally, the choir tours throughout Wisconsin to
perform for alumni and local high schools.
Choral Union rehearses as an SATB choir twice a week - on Mondays and Thursdays, from 1-1:50 p.m. The men's section has a sectional rehearsal on Tuesdays and the women's section has their sectional on Wednesdays (both at the same 1-1:50 hour). This choir averages from 75-90 singers.
Choir rehearses twice a week - Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-4:50 p.m. and
