Lisa Carroll earned a Bachelor’s degree in music education (choral and general, PK-12) from UWSP in 1989. She spent 28 years teaching K-12 general and choral music in public schools, serving students in the central Wisconsin communities of Stanley, Boyd, Thorp, Greenwood, Abbotsford, and Marshfield. Carroll has experience teaching students in all grades from pre-Kindergarten through high school.
Carroll earned a Master of Education degree from UW-Eau Claire in 2008, which broadened her knowledge of education principles as they apply to music. She excels in the areas of developmental appropriateness for all ages and building community in her classroom. Carroll retired from public school teaching following a car accident in 2019 but is active as a church musician and community volunteer. She lives in central Wisconsin with her husband David (also a UWSP music alum), her dog and two cats. She enjoys prairie gardening and artistic hobbies.
