​Environmental, Health, and Safety

The Environmental, Health, and Safety department provides guidance and assistance to our campus community to ensure a safe and healthful environment for employees, students, and guests.

As a state agency, safety initiatives at UW Stevens Point are guided by the Wisconsin Administrative Code Chapter SPS 332.  This law, by reference, incorporates the standards and regulations set forth by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

EHS provides a variety of services which include:

  • Developing and implementing policies and programs

  • Administering employee training programs

  • Managing hazardous, infectious, and universal wastes

  • Compliance with environmental regulatory requirements

  • Administering Injury/Incident Claims and Safety Review

  • Providing assistance and guidance for other EHS initiatives to ensure a safe and healthful workplace
