The Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management and Technology is a partnership of UW Extended Campus and UW-Green Bay, UW-La Crosse, UW-Parkside, and UW-Stevens Point, giving you access to the best talent and resources of the UW System. Employment opportunities for health information professionals with the required knowledge and technical skills are expected to increase by 21 percent between 2010 and 2020, far outpacing the average for all other occupations. A UW Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management and Technology can be the foundation for a variety of positions, including:

Accreditation

University of Wisconsin institutions offering the Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management and Technology are accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Higher Learning Commission. The program has been approved by the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents.

CAHIIM Accreditation

The Health Information Management accreditor of the University of Wisconsin Stevens-Point is the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). The college’s accreditation for baccalaureate degree Health Information Management has been reaffirmed through 2027-2028.
