As a new student, you are eligible for several financial aid opportunities at UWSP. The first step is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid<\/a> (FAFSA) to be considered for federal, state, and institutional financial aid. In order to receive a financial aid offer, you must be admitted to UWSP. Admission information is available on the Office of Admissions<\/a> website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Office of Financial Aid and Veteran Services administers federal, state, private, and institutional aid. A good place to begin is by understanding the various types and sources of financial assistance (view our Types of Aid tab) as well as the cost of attending<\/a> the University. Additionally, we’ve created a financial aid brochure<\/a>\u200b, FAFSA completion tips<\/a>, and financial aid checklist<\/a> for you to use to assist you in the financial aid process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FAFSA determines your eligibility for grants, loans, work-study, and any need-based scholarships. Some financial aid funds are limited and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis so it is important to file the FAFSA as soon as possible.\u200bThe deadline for priority consideration is\u00a0May 1 each year<\/strong>.\u200b\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n
