Welcome Graduate Students!

Whether you are working towards your Master's Degree or a Doctoral Degree, our financial aid team is here to assist you every step of the way. We're here to help make attending the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point (UWSP) possible for you.

UWSP. IT'S WORTH IT.

Graduate students may be eligible for financial aid if they are enrolled at least half-time in a program leading to a degree at UWSP. However, once a student receives their first bachelor's degree, they are no longer eligible for federal or state grants. Therefore, graduate students are primarily offered student loans and work-study, but there may be additional funding available through specific graduate departments.

To be offered financial aid administered by Financial Aid and Veteran Services, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year. Additionally, you must be admitted as a degree-seeking graduate student. Admission information is available on the Office of Admissions website. Be sure to activate and check your UWSP email address as this is how we will mostly be communicating with you.

Below are financing methods for affording a UWSP education.

You may view your estimated cost of attendance on our web page or view tuition and fee rates on the Student Financial Services website. Should your educational costs be more than what we estimated in our cost of attendance, contact us for a budget appeal. If you have questions, visit our frequently asked questions page, browse our website, call us at (715) 346-4771, or email us at finaid@uwsp.edu.
