Not all of our inventory is placed on auction. Make sure to stop in each week to see the entire inventory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwsp-accordion noblockspacetop blockspacebottom\"><div class=\"accordion\" id=\"\"><div class=\"panelcontainer nofirst\">\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">What type of work does Surplus Property handle?<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-8cf370e7 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<div style=\"height:0px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer wp-container-content-728072c3\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The student workers employed by Surplus are an integral part of daily operations. &nbsp;Student staff is responsible for organizing orders prior to delivery and for delivering orders to campus destinations. They are a vital asset to Surplus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The UWSP Surplus Property operational philosophy includes JIT (Just-In-Time) purchasing for less frequently used items and electronically controlled inventories for items having more frequent use histories.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintenance items removed from Surplus by Facility Services staff are electronically scanned and linked to an associated work order via the Facility Services CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The UWSP Surplus Store manages approximately 2778 unique stock items. &nbsp;The actual unit count for all of these products equals over 70,000 units.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To assure the Surplus Store inventory meets the needs of campus customers, it is checked annually and minimum\/maximum stocking levels adjusted accordingly. &nbsp;Items that have no circulation during this period are systematically eliminated from stock.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To assure inventory &amp; accounting accuracy, Surplus Store utilizes bar code and scanning for all items in inventory and conducts a minimum of one physical inventory reconciliation annually.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In most cases, if items are available via state contract, Surplus Store is bound to purchase the item from the contract provider (rare exceptions may apply). &nbsp;If items are not available via state contract, Surplus Store staff will competitively quote the items to assure best pricing is obtained.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/details>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-primary-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-primary-background-color has-background\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Surplus property<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Monday &#8211; Friday<br>8 a.m. to 4 p.m.<br><br>715-346-4500<\/strong><br><a href=\"mailto:stores@uwsp.edu\"><strong>stores@uwsp.edu<\/strong><\/a><strong><br><br> 601 Division Street<br>Stevens Point, WI 54481<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-primary-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-primary-background-color has-background\"\/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UWSP Surplus maintains a comprehensive inventory of commonly used products and supplies by the entire campus including academic, administrative and service departments.\u00a0 Although Surplus maintains an online catalog, not all items inventoried are shown.
