The university auto shop is responsible for the safety and maintenance of over 90 fleet vehicles. The Auto Shop Work Unit employs one full time master mechanic. 95% of all fleet automotive repairs are performed in-house. The Auto Shop is a preferred vendor for maintenance work on any state or federal vehicle.\u200b  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campus auto shop maintains safe, economical, and appropriate transportation for all university-owned vehicles for state employees to perform their official duties. The auto shop also maintains the Grounds Work Unit’s vehicles and equipment. All campus vehicle inspections, maintenance, assignments, and vehicle retirements are handled through the campus auto shop.
