A blue and green logo featuring a circular emblem with the lowercase letters “wav” in blue above stylized flowing lines of royal blue, light blue, and green representing water. To the right in those same colors are the stacked words "WATER ACTION VOLUNTEERS".

Winter Water Talks started as a “thank you” to all of the volunteers monitoring our shared lakes and streams. It has grown into a public offering hosted by Wisconsin’s Citizen Lake Monitoring Network (Extension Lakes) and UW-Madison Division of Extension Water Action Volunteers programs. Occurring monthly during the winter, we cover a variety of interesting lake, river, and wetland topics presented by guest speakers. Participants also have the opportunity to ask their burning questions!
