In 2000, Veum joined the UW-Stevens Point Department of Physics and Astronomy, serving as former department chair.\u00a0 Dr. Veum teaches courses in the Department of Mathematical Sciences.\u00a0 His research areas of interest include: surface tension, calorimetry, phase transitions, liquid crystals and optical reflectivity.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PUBLICATIONS<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Veum, M., Duelge, L., Droske, J., Nguyen, H.
