She is the chief assistant to the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs in support of personnel, budget and grants. Her major responsibilities include providing leadership to and assuring compliance by academic department and administrative units on matters relating to personnel policies, public records, open meetings and other topics that relate to their responsibilities for personnel management. She also provides general oversight of the Academic Affairs budget as well as grants and sponsored programs.&nbsp;Katie also serves as a resource person for faculty, academic staff and mediation committees on personnel issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Katie joined UWSP as a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www3.uwsp.edu\/physastr\/Pages\/FacultyStaff\/Katherine-Jore.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">faculty member<\/a>&nbsp;in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www3.uwsp.edu\/physastr\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Department of Physics and Astronomy<\/a>&nbsp;in 1997.
