After 6 years with a national environmental education program as part of UW-Stevens Point\u2019s College of Natural Resources, Amy joined another CNR outreach program – Extension\u00a0Lakes – in 2003 and is the production manager for many of their publications (printed and digital). She edits and designs the\u00a0long-running\u00a0newsletter (Lake Tides<\/em>), the bi-monthly eNews\u00a0(Lake Ripples<\/em>)<\/a>,\u00a0fact sheets, posters, brochures, and\u00a0multi-media presentations<\/a>, as well as helping to maintain the Extension Lakes website. She also coordinates social media efforts using the\u00a0Wisconsin Lakes and Rivers Partnership Facebook<\/a>\u00a0page, as well as\u00a0Extension Lakes’\u00a0Instagram<\/a>,\u00a0LinkedIn<\/a>, and YouTube<\/a> channels. She assists with the\u00a0Wisconsin Lakes and Rivers\u00a0Convention<\/a>,\u00a0Lake Leaders Institute<\/a>,\u00a0Citizen Lake Monitoring Network<\/a>,\u00a0Clean Boats, Clean Waters<\/a>\u00a0Watercraft Inspection Program, and the\u00a0Healthy Lakes & Rivers Initiative<\/a>\u00a0through editing, design, marketing, photography, and videography.<\/p>\n

Amy holds a B.S. in Psychology with an emphasis in Human Services from UW-Stevens Point. Even though her degree did not bring her into the position of natural resources, she is very connected with nature. She grew up in rural central Wisconsin on a family farm and was involved in 4-H, is active in Stevens Point\u2019s Growing Collective, and loves learning about our natural world. Her 20+ years of design experience have been mostly self-taught. She enjoys telling and listening to stories, biking, kayaking, hiking, gardening, skiing, volleyball, softball, golf, board\/card games and playing\/singing music with her family.\u200b<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
