biography

Isiah Davis serves as Associate Director of the Office for Culture and Student Development at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. His professional experience spans residence life, college access and recruitment, student success, career development, program administration, and strategic initiatives.

Isiah began his career in student affairs at UW-Stevens Point in Residential Living before continuing his work at Indiana University Bloomington. At Indiana University, he held progressively responsible roles in Residential Programs and Services, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Maurer School of Law. His work has included developing initiatives for first-generation and under-resourced students, strengthening transfer and college-access pathways, managing student support and funding programs, advising students through academic and professional transitions, and building partnerships across academic and student affairs units.

His professional interests include first-generation student success, access to higher education, student development, organizational effectiveness, and the role of institutional structures in shaping the student experience. As a first-generation college graduate, Isiah brings both professional and personal perspective to his work supporting students as they make sense of the complexities of higher education and identify the resources, relationships, and opportunities that support their success.

Outside of his professional work, Isiah remains connected to his musical background as a former double bassist and proudly claims a past life as a collegiate cheerleader. He also enjoys spending time with family, cooking and exploring international cuisines, and finding new ways to stay connected to music.
