Ibrahim Said Ahmad joined the Department of Computing and New Media Technologies at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point in 2025. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and brings over a decade of academic experience, including more than five years of university-level teaching. From 2014 to 2023, Dr. Ahmad served as a lecturer at Bayero University Kano, where he taught courses in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science, and mentored graduate students.  View CV.  Prior to joining UW–Stevens Point, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Northeastern University’s Institute for Experiential AI, conducting research in natural language processing and exploring approaches to make AI systems more culturally inclusive.
