DeBot on the Go

Get your meal to-go from Upper DeBot!

University Dining is introducing DeBot on the Go for students with a meal plan, as a pilot program starting in Fall 2026 through Spring 2027.

How it works (in short):

  • Bring your PointCard to Upper DeBot and use one meal swipe, or Dawg Dollars at the cost of a meal, during the meal period you would like to take your food to-go.
  • You will receive one large and one small container to fill with food of your choice to enjoy outside of the dining center.
  • Bring back the rinsed containers and place them in the return receptacle to receive a fresh set to enjoy your next to-go meal from Upper DeBot!
  • Let the cashier know you are going to take a meal to go instead of dining in, and go grab your next meal to-go.

Sign up runs from the start of the semester to September 25, 2026 for the Fall semester sign up time. Students will sign up via the QR code located at Upper DeBot Dining Center’s cash registers. Once signed up and reusable containers in hand, they can start participating in the program September 28, 2026.

Read the full policy linked on this webpage for the full information on how the program works and expectations of students participating in the pilot program.

How the Program Works

Student Participants

Student participation in DeBot on the Go will be crucial to provide data for an informed decision on rolling out the program past the testing phase in the 2026-2027 academic year.

Here is how the program works:

  1. Students will sign up to participate in the first three weeks of the semester for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 at the following link: DeBot on the Go PILOT Program – Sign Up
  2. After signing up, students will pick up one large and one small to-go reusable container from the cashier(s) in Upper DeBot Dining Center during the week of September 28-October 2, 2026 (for the Fall semester pickup) or February 15-19, 2027 (for the Spring semester pickup).
  3. Once the student has the specified containers, they can start taking their meal to-go from Upper DeBot by filling as much as they would like in the containers provided to them for a meal to go.
    1. ONLY ONE meal swipe or Dawg Dollars equivalent to one meal swipe is allowed to use in a single meal period.
      1. Example: Stevie Pointer comes to Upper DeBot Dining Center to take their ‘DeBot on the Go’ meal to-go for lunch meal service on a Monday because they have a short amount of time to eat while Upper DeBot is open for lunch meal service that day. Stevie is ONLY able to take a meal to go, they cannot fill up their containers and also eat a meal in Upper DeBot Dining Center at that time.
      2. If a student is caught taking a meal to-go with the reusable containers and ALSO eating at Upper DeBot Dining Center during that same meal period, they will be asked to talk with the DeBot Dining Center Manager and noted in the pilot program for breaking the policy.
      3. If a student loses their to-go containers, which are on the responsibility of the student, they will be able to fill out a request form for a new set ONE time only for the duration of the semester in which they lost their containers. Any additional loss after that explained above will result in termination from participation in the DeBot on the Go pilot program and will be noted by University Dining Administration.
    2. A student can get a meal to-go every meal period if they wish to choose in any given day, as long as they do not attempt to dine more than one time per meal period using their Meal Plan, which is standard practice and policy of all meal plan holders at UW-Stevens Point upon acceptance of their meal plan selection during housing/dining’s application process.
  4. When a student is ready to bring back the to-go containers to receive new ones, they must return them in the receptacles labeled for DeBot on the Go returns. This receptacle will be located near the cashiers of Upper DeBot Dining Center.
  5. Students will still go through the normal cashiering process for using their Meal Plan with the choice to use a Meal Swipe or Dawg Dollars associated with their balance of their account at any given time.
  6. Once new, sterilized containers are picked up, the student wishing to dine to-go, can get as much they would like per it fits in the CLOSED containers to exit the dining center.
  7. It is requested that at the end of each semester by the last day of finals week, students return any remaining to-go containers to the receptacle in Upper DeBot Dining Center before they leave for either Winterim or Summer break to ensure these containers can be fully sterilized and returned to use in the future.
