Scholarships pay for either the full tuition and fees or room and board, plus $1,200\/year for books, and a $300-500\/month subsistence stipend based on your ROTC academic standing.<\/div><div>\n<a style=\"text-transform:uppercase\"><strong>Benefits of Joining ROTC<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ROTC scholarships pay for tuition and fees, up to <strong>$20,000<\/strong> annually.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Current UWSP tuition for Wisconsin residents is $6,199.66\/year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recipients may choose to apply the scholarship towards room and board.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ROTC pays a tax free stipend of <strong>$420\/monthly<\/strong> for all contracted members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ROTC pays a book payment of <strong>$1,200\/annually<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ROTC adds a <strong>$350\/month<\/strong> Kicker to GI Bill Payments\u2014for prior military service members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commissioned Lieutenants have the option of joining the Active Duty, National Guard or Reserve forces after graduation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Currently new lieutenants earn around <strong>$46,000 a year<\/strong> with Basic Allowances.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other benefits may also be available, including a <strong>$10,000 bonus<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"text-transform:uppercase\"><strong>How do I apply and qualify for a scholarship?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum of a <strong>2.5 GPA<\/strong> and <strong>19 ACT<\/strong> or higher to apply for scholarships.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete a Medical Screening.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have good strength and endurance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have the willingness to serve as an Army Leader after college.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goarmy.com\/rotc\">www.goarmy.com\/rotc<\/a> to apply online for the high school scholarship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We Reeder Memorial Fund<\/h3><div class=\"hcard-content\">The Alexander H. Reeder Memorial Fund awards an annual scholarship to an ROTC cadet in honor of Alexander H. Reeder, who passed away in 2014.
