Application Deadline: April 13, 2018 - extended to April 27, 2018

English for College (EFC) is a three-week residential program for Wisconsin high school students who are passionate about attending college and seeking to improve their English language proficiency. EFC focuses on building the academic reading, writing, speaking, and research skills vital for college admission and student success. As an EFC learning community, we celebrate our diverse language and cultural traditions, so you will learn so much about the world - and yourself - just by being here.

Essential Considerations for applying to EFC:

1. Are you an English language learner who would like to improve your writing and speaking? (Your teacher or counselor will share more information with us regarding your academic goals. Note: Being enrolled in an ELL program is not a requirement for admission.

2. Are you a Wisconsin resident who will be entering grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 in the 2018-2019 school year?

3. Are you eligible to receive free or reduced price meals?
4. Do you have a GPA of 2.0 or higher?

5. Are you, your family, and your teacher (or counselor, principal, etc.) willing to spend some time filling out all the required EFC/DPI paperwork?
6. Are you ready to spend three weeks working hard, living on the UWSP campus, opening yourself up to new experiences, making friends, and planning for your college and career future?

If all of the above describe you, please apply to join us for EFC 2018!
