When is the final payment due?<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>The last day to register is located on the camp website.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">What are the dormitories like? Are they secure?<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>Campers reside in UWSP student dormitories. Two campers are assigned to each room; single rooms\u00a0are available\u00a0for an additional fee. Community bathroom\/shower areas are shared. Showers are private stalls with an additional private dressing area. The dorms are air-conditioned. Fans are not required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Counselors stay in the dorms&nbsp;and supervise the campers. For security, campers and visitors are only able to enter the residence hall through the front main entrance. The remaining doors are for exit only. An alarm will sound if one of these doors is propped open. What is the refund policy?<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>Follows the cancellation policy listed on the event page. Cancellations received after that date will not be refunded. No refunds will be given for a student who leaves camp early for any reason. Send written request to <a href=\"mailto:uwspceweb@uwsp.edu\">uwspceweb@uwsp.edu<\/a><br>Our camps reserve&nbsp;the right to send home, without refund, any camper who fails to behave in an appropriate manner or breaks any local\/state\/federal laws or camp regulations.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">How much supervision is there for the campers?<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>We have a 10:1 camper\/counselor ratio in addition to the camp faculty and staff. Trained and qualified camp counselors are on duty 24 hours\/day and reside with campers in the dormitories. Counselors check-in&nbsp;with&nbsp;their assigned campers throughout the day and attendance is taken in classes and at &#8220;lights out.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Campers are not allowed to leave the group or&nbsp;campus without their counselor&#8217;s knowledge. Riding in other campers&#8217; cars is also prohibited during the camp session. Campers may be signed in and out by an authorized adult or if over 16, with parent authorization in CampDoc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our camp&nbsp;reserves the right to send home without refund any camper who fails to behave in an appropriate manner or breaks any local\/state\/federal laws or regulations.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">Does my child need to bring money for any other reason?<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>All camp expenses such as meals, classes, and supplies are covered by the camper&#8217;s tuition. Campers may want to bring money to use vending machines or for purchases they choose to make during the week. Often times, groups will visit a nearby ice cream shop (Belt&#8217;s) or the University Store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your child does bring money to camp, instruct them on how to keep their money safe. For example: Do not leave your dorm room unlocked when you&#8217;re not in it. Do not allow other campers to be in your room (except your roommate) when you are not there. Do not put your purse down in the cafeteria and walk away from it. Simple but often forgotten safety rules.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">May I visit my child while they are at camp?<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>Family members are welcome to visit their campers during the week. We ask that visitors announce their arrival to the camper&#8217;s counselor and\/or the camp director. Please notify the camp counselor if you will be leaving campus. Authorized adults\u00a0must sign campers\u00a0out and back\u00a0in when leaving campus.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">My child would like to room with a friend. How do we request this?<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>There is a space in the CampDoc\u00a0form for a roommate request. <strong>Both<\/strong> campers who would like to room together should list each other in their CampDoc registration.\u00a0The camp staff does their best to honor all requests received by the application deadline. If you forgot to request a roommate at time of registration, please email request to <a href=\"mailto:uwspce-youth@uwsp.edu\">uwspce-youth@uwsp.edu\u200b<\/a> at least three weeks prior to the event start date.\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">What evening activities are planned?<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>Afternoon and evening activities in the past have included movie night, talent shows, karaoke, dances, concerts, swimming, volleyball, capture the flag and nature hikes. Evening activities are based on camper interest and weather. All activities are supervised.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">Can you accommodate special dietary restrictions?<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>Yes, we offer a variety of menu items at every meal including dairy free, gluten free and peanut free items. Please list dietary restrictions in CampDoc.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-create-block-uwsp-accordion-section\"><summary class=\"accordion-heading\">Are there Scholarships available?<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p><strong>External<\/strong>: Check with your local guidance conselor for po\u200bssible summer program funding related\u00a0to careers. Community groups may also have funding available &#8211; i.e. Rotary, Lions, etc.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Internal:<\/strong> Some camps may have a limited number of full or partial funding scholarships available.
