Your Personal Brand Workshop - 03/29/19

Your identity becomes a personal leadership brand when you use it to bring value to others' lives and work (Ulrich & Smallwood, 2008). In this session, you will learn why your personal leadership branding matters and how it can advance your career, forge lucrative connections, and influence your workplace and community. In collaborative, interactive exercises, you will identify and cultivate your personal brand and practice sharing your leadership brand story.

SBDC clients save $24 on the Your Personal Brand Workshop (if not registering for the series). For more info, contact Zia Yang at zyang@uwsp.edu.

Critical Thinking, Problem Solving and Decision Making - 04/12/19

Become more intentional and confident in your decision making. Learn how to recognize different kinds of problems and how to apply a decision-making model to respond to these problems effectively. Before the session, you will be invited to articulate an actual or hypothetical problem that you will explore in the workshop.

In this workshop, you will learn:

  • how to distinguish between different kinds of problems
  • how to make the best use of your two distinct cognitive systems as you approach problems
  • how to apply a decision-making procedure to enhance the quality of your responses to problems.

Data Driven Leadership - 05/03/19

The power of data is easily understood. Armed with data, leaders make better decisions and organizations function more effectively. This session covers data driven leadership from a conceptual standpoint, focusing on how to gather, use, and interpret data rather than the math behind the statistics. Overall, the major goal of this workshop is to familiarize participants with today's data driven environment so they can make the best use of the information resources available to them.

In this session, you will:
  • develop a working knowledge base of terminology associated with data driven leadership
  • explore the use of data visualization techniques in various organization settings
  • demonstrate how data can be used to support decision making
  • conduct and interpret data analyses.
