​Camp Information

This camp has moved online! 

An online, "hands on" approach to learning how podcasts are created.This camp invites participants to creatively and critically engage with the increasingly popular media form of podcasting. Participants will be introduced to the phenomenon of podcasting and examine a range of podcasts before creating a short podcast of their own, along with other minor works including a script for their piece. A range of activities will be completed individually participants are invited to share their completed work with family, friends, peers and online.  Topics addressed over the course of the "camp" include listening, research, reading, textual analysis, planning, writing, sound editing, and peer- and self-evaluation.

Participants must have access to audio recording equipment (a smartphone will work), basic audio editing software (any of the free downloads will suffice), and an internet connection. Contact summer.arts.camp@uwsp.edu for a complete list of technology needed

Ages: 9th grade - adult learners
Separate sections are available for student and adult learners.

 Final Payment

Final payment is due by Monday, June 15, 2020. If you have not paid for your registration, you may do so by calling UW-Stevens Point Continuing Education at 715-346-3838, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. to pay by credit card.

Cancellation Policy


You may cancel up until June 8
, 2020, and be charged only the non-refundable deposit fee. Cancellations received after June 8, 2020, will not be refunded. No refunds will be given for a student who leaves camp early for any reason. Send written request to summer.arts.camp@uwsp.edu.  

We are continuously monitoring the Covid-19 situation. In the event that our camp is cancelled, we will be issuing full refunds. 

Registrants are responsible for ensuring they have the minimum computer standards for participating in the virtual Continuing Education program via Zoom. Sign up for a free Zoom account by clicking here. Zoom works best with Chrome or Firefox. The UWSP is not responsible for registrant technological issues, including, but not limited to, inadequate bandwidth and/or registrant equipment malfunction.
