An online, "hands on" approach to learning how podcasts are created.This camp invites participants to creatively and critically engage with the increasingly popular media form of podcasting. Participants will be introduced to the phenomenon of podcasting and examine a range of podcasts before creating a short podcast of their own, along with other minor works including a script for their piece. A range of activities will be completed individually participants are invited to share their completed work with family, friends, peers and online. Topics addressed over the course of the "camp" include listening, research, reading, textual analysis, planning, writing, sound editing, and peer- and self-evaluation.
Participants must have access to audio recording equipment (a smartphone will work), basic audio editing software (any of the free downloads will suffice), and an internet connection. Contact email@example.com for a complete list of technology needed

Ages: 9th grade - adult learners
Separate sections are available for student and adult learners.
