Welcome to the June 28, 2020 trip to see the musical “Dear Evan Hansen” at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, followed by an excellent dinner at Fratellos! At the 71st Tony Awards, it was nominated for nine awards, winning six, including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Actor in a Musical for Ben Platt, and Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Rachel Bay Jones. We are happy that you are joining us for this entertaining theatrical experience, and hope that you will enjoy your seats in one of the following:
  • Rows S, T, and Z of the center section
  • Rows E, K, and S of the left orchestra section
  • Row S of the right orchestra section

Trip Information 


This show has a run time of two hours and forty-five minutes, including one 20-minute intermission.

The Fox Cities Performing Art Center will be showing the 2019 Grammy Award, Dear Evan Hansen. 

Transportation

The bus ride to Appleton is roughly an hour, so we will not stop on the way. We will arrive with plenty of time for you to stretch your legs and check out everything the theater has to offer before showtime!

Here are the pick up locations: 

For Marshfield Participants:

​Bus Loading Location: Faculty/Staff Lot in front of Everett Roehl STEM Building (Click here for map) 
Bus Loading Time: 9:15 a.m. (please be on time)
Bus Departure from Marshfield: 9:30 a.m.

For Stevens Point Participants:

Bus Loading Location: Parking lot in front of Dunham’s (HWY 10, Stevens Point)
Bus Loading Time: 10:15 a.m. (please be on time)
Bus Departure from Stevens Point: 10:30 a.m.

Dinner

After the show, we will have dinner at Fratellos on the River. You will have a choice between three entrees:
  • Filet: 8 oz beef tenderloin filet with loaded pork belly hash, sautéed green beans and a Worcestershire maître d ’butter.
  • Steak and Scallops: 8 oz choice boneless sirloin paired with two seared scallops, lobster rose sauce and served with garlic and herb mashed potatoes and asparagus.
  • Shrimp Tortellini: Sustainable white shrimp, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, 5 cheese-tortellini and 3-cheese lemon sauce.
All meals include a soda, ice cream, and gratuity.

Since we make financial commitments in advance, no refunds will be issued for cancellations. However, you must send a substitute in your place. Please email us at  uwspcelife@uwsp.edu to inform us of the situation.
