Who Should Attend


Consumers and family members, administrators, front-line workers and community professionals involved in crisis intervention from the following areas:

​Court Personnel, ​Emergency Services Personnel and Faculty Personnel,
​Hospital Personnel, ​Jail Personnel, ​Law Enforcement, ​Mental Health Professionals,
​Nursing Professionals: Mental Health, Jail and School Nurses, ​School Administrators,
​Social Workers and Substance Abuse Professionals

 Consumer Scholarships

Scholarships for consumers are available for the conference. Check back in late spring 2020 for more information and how to apply.

Scholarship recipients are asked to make their own transportation arrangements to and from the conference. Conference planning members do not make those arrangements. If you are having difficulty arranging transportation, we encourage you to talk to your clubhouse or contact your agency about arranging transportation. You can also post a request to United We Stand Wisconsin (united-we-stand-wi@googlegroups.com) or the Wisconsin Association of Peer Providers (wisconsin-association-of-peer-providers@googlegroups.com). Both public consumer forums won't arrange rides, but you can post a request and see if anyone answers.  

Scholarship applicants submitting their registration forms in advance will not receive special considerations.

The conference offers three levels of participation for your consideration, and we would be happy to consider other arrangements that you may offer.

Level 1            Platinum Sponsors donating $2000.00 or more will receive their name and logo on the conference brochure, 1 exhibit (up to $300.00 value), 3 registration ($575.00 value) and you can display an approved banner in the main ballroom.

 
 

Level 2            Gold Sponsors donating $1,500- $1,999.00 receive their name and logo on the conference brochure, 1 exhibit (up to $300.00 value), 2 registrations ($350.00 value).

 
 

Level 3            Silver Sponsors donating $1,000- $1,499.00 receive their name and logo on the brochure, 1 exhibit (up to $300 value), 1 registration ($175.00 value).

 Exhibitor Information

​The 24th annual conference will offer an exhibit area located in a strategic location that will allow maximum contact with conference participants.  Exhibit hours are scheduled as follows:

u  Thursday, September 17                        8:30 am – 6:00 pm

u  Friday, September 18                             7:30 am - Noon

Exhibit Fees:

  • $125 per table for Non-Profit Agencies
  • $325 per table for For-Profit Agencies
  • Fee includes one 4'x8' skirted table and all conference meals
  • Exhibitors can take advantage of a special discounted conference registration rate of $165 for the staff member(s) working at your display
Exhibit space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Continuing Education Hours (CEHs)


Continuing Education Hours are a measure of participation in continuing education programs. A 2-ply certificate of completion form will be in you're registration folder when you arrive at the conference and will be your 
proof of attendance and continuing education hours. It is your 
responsibility to report your hours earned to your appropriate credential
or licensing board. 

The 2020 conference will be seeking approval for the following:

Thursday = 6.25 contact hours 
Friday = 3 contact hours 

Total = 9.25 contact hours 

The conference will be seeking approval for 9.25 Continuing Education Hours by the National Associate of Social Workers, Wisconsin Chapter. 

Lodging Information​


Stay tuned for information regarding reserving lodging for the 2020 conference.

Cancellations Policy


Full refunds granted upon receipt of written request to uwspce-conf@uwsp.edu. Request must be received by September 3, 2020. Cancelling your hotel room does not cancel your conference registration. You will need to contact UWSP Continuing Education to cancel your conference registration. Refunds requested between September 4-10, 2020 will be assessed a $25 processing fee. No refunds will be given after September 10, 2020. 

Substitutions can be made at any time, but no shows will be responsible for the full conference fee. Last minute registrations cannot be guaranteed meals or materials.
