Destination Imagination is a non-profit, volunteer-led, cause-driven organization whose purpose is to inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. Annually, they offer seven new standards-based challenges in STEM, improv, visual arts, service learning, and early learning. Each challenge enables student teams to learn and experience the creative process from imagination to innovation. 

Wisconsin Destination Imagination Inc. contracts with Continuing Education and Outreach to facilitate the Affilliate Tournament.

Early American Pressed Glass Goblet Collection

Dorothy & Jacque Vallier Early American Pressed Glass Goblet Collection his truly amazing collection is comprised of over 1200 items assembled by the Valliers between 1969 and 1984.  Dorothy Vallier was also an avid conservationist. In addition to her pressed glass donation, she donated the land for our Treehaven Facility in Tomahawk, Wisconsin.  Treehaven is the UW-Stevens Point natural resources education and conference center in central Wisconsin.

 Visit Schmeeckle Reserve and Visitor Center

Schmeeckle Reserve is a 280 acre natural area with 5 miles of trails and boardwalks, a 24-acre lake, and a large diversity of habitats that support numerous wildlife species. Schmeeckle (shmeek-lee) Reserve protects and restores natural communities of central Wisconsin and serves as an outdoor classroom for learning as well as for outdoor recreation opportunities.

Visitor Center hours 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.  The Visitor Center is located at 2419 Northpoint Drive across from Sentry World Golf Course.  Trails are open dawn to dusk. Pick up a trail map at the visitor center or at trail entrances.  The Wisconsin Conservation Hall of Fame is located within the Schmeeckle Reserve Visitor Center. Wisconsin is a leader in conservation policy and education. In 1984, the Wisconsin Conservation Hall of Fame (WCHF) was founded to honor men and women who have made significant contributions to the environmental legacy of the state.

 Take a Hike!

The Green Circle Trail is a natural hiking and biking trail that loops around the Stevens Point area. About 1.4 miles of the Green Circle meanders through the northern part of Schmeeckle Reserve, with easy access to the rest of the trails. Stop by the Schmeeckle Visitor Center for information and maps, and Green Circle Trail souvenirs.

 Visit the Vivarium, Trainer Natural Resources Building

Head on over to the vivarium and see if you can spot Wanda, the Chinese water dragon, or Quasi, the iguana.  Where will Wanda be hiding, up in a tree or maybe in a plant! Will Quasi shake his head at you? Don't forget to count the turtles too-there should be five of them, but where are they hiding?
