Who Should Attend

​Aging and public health professionals, health care providers and insurers, academic researchers, staff from senior centers, non-profit organizations, MCOs, independent living centers, and others interested in healthy aging research and programming.

Program leaders, coordinators, volunteers, and agencies involved in Living Well, Stepping On, Healthy Living with Diabetes, Powerful Tools for Caregivers, Walk With Ease, Vivir Saludable con Diabetes, Tomando Control de su Salud, and other evidence-based health promotion.

Volunteer Scholarships

Cancellations and Substitutions

Please contact UW-Stevens Point Continuing Education and Outreach at uwspce-conf@uwsp.edu with a written request to cancel by June 13, 2017 for a full refund. No refunds will be given after this date. Substitutions can be made at any time, but no shows are responsible for the full conference fee. Last minute registrations cannot be guaranteed inclusion in the meal count.

Lodging Information

A room block is being held at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Convention Center. Guests can book their reservations online 24 hours a day by using the following link: WI Institute for Healthy Aging-WIHA

If you decide to make reservations over the phone, please call 715-344-0200 and press #3. When making reservations, we ask that you reference the group name, WI Institute for Healthy Living or the group block code: WIH.

The group state rate will be available until May 21, 2017 or until the block is full.*

Lodging Rates:

$82 – single occupancy

$109 – double occupancy

*Please note the prevailing state rates for June 2017 will be charged for guest rooms if higher than the rate stated above.

CEHs

Participants will receive 5 Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) for attending Base Camp.  An electronic certificate will be sent to all participants within two weeks after the Base Camp.

For Health Educators: Application for CHES Category I continuing education contact hours (CECH) has been made to the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing Inc. (NCHEC).
