The UWSP Museum of Natural History offers several positions to undergraduate students in a variety of academic and professional fields. Employment at the Museum is a prearranged learning opportunity under the supervision of a Museum staff member. Learn more.
Katie Estlund
Outreach Assistant
Katie joined the museum in November 2023 as an outreach assistant.
Olivia Sykes
Education Program Coordinator
Olivia joined the museum in October 2023 as a program coordinator. She is a senior studying History and Social Studies Education, with a minor in international studies. Olivia is originally from Southern Wisconsin. She said she really enjoys working with kids in the museum setting. She is building on her educational skills, along with assisting with plans for the new museum for the next year!
Liz Voltmer
Story Time Coordinator
The museum story time coordinator is Liz Voltmer. She is studying early childhood and special education at UW-Stevens Point. Liz began her position in October 2023. She says it is an awesome opportunity to advance hands-on learning experience and work with our youngest learners. She loves crafting, reading and being creative. Come see us on the first and third Fridays of the month!
Brett Everman
Museum Docent
Brett has worked for the museum as a docent since June 2019. He is a native of Stevens Point and 2013 SPASH graduate. Brett brings the UWSP Museum of Natural History to life with his stories and sound effects that are programmed into his Tobii Dynavox Communication device. He looks forward to seeing you on a scheduled tour!

The Museum of Natural History is located at 2001 Fourth Ave. on the first floor of the Science Building at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point campus. Tours will resume in our new museum spaces. Please contact us to schedule a group or school visit of the museum.
